My Venture into Card Sketch Challenges

Today I'm trying my hand at Sketch Challenges.
This should be interesting because anyone who knows me will tell you that I'm not very good at following directions.
I much prefer to give directions!

Anywho.  Let's see what happens.  I think this is going to turn out to be really fun and should probably help me with some design issues I feel like are sometimes slowing me down.  And I think it's interesting to see how people interpret the sketches.

The first card is for CAS(E) this Sketch.  (Side note: this challenge is now closed.  I got this card submitted just under the wire.)

Next up is my card for Outlawz Wednesday Sketch Challenge.

This card is for the Super Sketchy Challenge at 365 Cards.

And my final card for the sketch challenges today is being submitted at Die Cuttin' Divas.
(How much do I love that name?  A LOT!)

This card can also be seen at 365 Cards in their earth tones challenge.

I had so much fun today working on these cards!  Sketches haven't seen the last of this girl.  If you have any questions about any of the cards or materials used, feel free to contact me.

As always thanks for the time you've spent here at
Queen Bee Paper Crafts!

  2. I was surprised when I clicked on your name and that took me to your blog. I'm so glad you joined us at Twisted Thursday. You did an amazing job with your sketch, love your card you created. I see you are pretty new at blogging. This week for our challenge the twist is a step card. I add some links to show everyone how to make a step card just in case someone dose not now how to make one. Also I'm a follower now. Love to see you join us again.

  4. This falls into the category "now why didn't I think of that?" Absolutely LOVE this and using the circle element as the moon --- brilliant! Thanks for sharing at 365 Cards!

  7. Great job with all the sketches, Roberta! Until recently, I have tended to be very literal about sketches, following them to the "letter", but in the last few months, I have taken more liberties and allowed myself to use sketches as the basis of my design, turning them or reversing them and adding embellishments in places not shown in the sketch. I have learned to LOVE sketch challenges and I'm going to bet you will, too.

  10. Hello Roberta, Thanks for becoming a follower at my blog. You have 4 marvelous cards here today. My fav was the downy flowers at the top as it was a crisp & clean look with a pretty stamp; but my DH's fav was your Halloween card. I love that you're doing sketches, because I'm very poor at doing that. (and need to get better). I really liked #4 for that reason too. TFS
