I love the theme for the second challenge in Operation Write Home's Virtual Card Making Party. Diane came up with the idea to use as many elements on a card using the letters: O, W, & H. Very clever, I think.
The elements I used are:
O: owl, oval mat for the sentiment, ombre ribbon, orange....lots of orange
W: A Warm Hello, white polka dots on the owl, white mat and shadow for the owl, white ribbon, wide-eyed owl
H: A Warm Hello, harlequin patterned paper
This was a fun one to work on....thanks, Diane!
So cute, really like the orange background paper.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute! I love the owl from Create a Critter. How did you make his eye's? ~ Marilyn
ReplyDeleteThanks Marilyn! The eyes are from the Peachy Keen stamp set #756 Critter Faces, extra large. The owl was cut at 3" and I removed the eye contour on layer 2 in CCR. I colored in the whites of his eyes using my white gel pen.
DeleteIf you use the Create a Critter cart a lot, the PK stamps are a great investment!
I have a few Peachy Keens stamps. Looks like I need this one. Your card is totally adorable! ~ Marilyn
DeleteSo adorable, and wow, you rocked those letters!
ReplyDeleteWOW- you really rocked the challenge- you have a lot of OWH in your card! Thanks so much for taking my challenging and making great cards for our troops!
ReplyDeleteLove it, Roberta! I'm not sure I could have gathered that many items with the OWH letters but you really nailed it, my friend! Fabulous paper and wonderful fall oranges.
