Just Inspirational Challenges -- Team B

Thank you to everyone who was able to join Team B at
for our Kraft paper challenge a couple of weeks ago.
There were so many fantastic entries!

Today begins a brand new fortnightly challenge for Team B
with the theme of
Stitching: Real or Faux.

I decided to use faux stitching since my machine
is acting up and I've not taken the time to
figure out what the heck is wrong with it.

Our fantastic sponsor this week is
If you're looking for some really playful images,
you need to go check them out!

I received the adorable image "Gnome Sweet Gnome"
to use for this challenge.  Just looking at it makes me
smile and hear silly little gnomes laughing and singing.

I've been playing with rosettes
for a tutorial I have planned so be
sure to check back for that.

The ruffle you see on the left side of the image layer is seam binding.
I gathered it by gently pulling on a couple of threads along one side.
If you want a double ruffle, just pull on threads in the center.

Ingredients used to make this card were:
Coloring medium:  ProMarkers
Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink
DSP:  Basic Grey "Hey Boy"
Stamps:  Michaels Dollar Bin
Seam Binding:  Glitter and Kitsch Etsy shop
Rustic twine:  Papertrey Ink
Brads:  Recollections
Button:  my stash

You can find this card in the following challenges:

Cuttin and Stampin -- Anything goes with a twist of family
Party Time Tuesday -- Use twine or hemp
Paper Makeup Stamps -- Stitching
Ooh La La Challenges -- Stitching

This is such a great theme for our new challenge at
Since there are so many of you that regularly add beautiful stitching
to your cards, I expect this should be a busy one too.
Good luck to all who can join us!

Thanks for spending some time with me today!

  2. What a fun image and design! I really like the detail of the chevron panel and rosette! Your faux stitching looks like the real deal, and I like how you made the lines a bit wobbly and uneven - a charming detail that fits this image perfectly!
