And we have a winner...no, two winners....hold the phone! There are 3 winners!!

If I may draw your attention to the tabs bar just above where you are reading, you might notice there is a tab titled "Challenge Wins."  Well.  That was just placed there late last night...
or it could have been early this morning.
I was so excited that I kinda' lost track of time.

Most of today has been spent patting myself on the back and grinning from ear to ear.  I'm truly humbled to have been selected in the top 5 at Fantabulous Cricut Cuts for the Shaped cards challenge.  Also humbling was the top 3 selection at the Kraft Journal for their Cute Critters challenge.  There were so many wonderful cards in both cases, I must have just been sitting under lucky stars when I made my submissions.

In addition to the recognition received at those 2 great challenge sites, I was lucky enough to have been the weekly winner for the drawing at Little Blue Button Stamps.  This is a great opportunity for me to try out digi stamps.  Since I don't have copics (hope to someday) I've really shied away from digis.  Recently some videos on using colored pencils have piqued my interest and since those are much more budget friendly I think I may just give those a try.

Below are the cards that received recognition.

I want to repeat my thanks to these sites for hosting the challenges and of course for choosing my cards.  You've all made my day!

  2. Big Congratulations on your wonderful win. I can see why both of these cards were chosen. I like them both, but was especially drawn to your Halloween themed one. Wonderful layout, so interesting, and great combination of colors as well. Again, congratulations. TFS

  4. Congratulations, Roberta! Marvelous cards. Food for future thought on alcohol based markers like Copics. The expense can be rather high and having tried many different brands, I have settled on ProMarkers. The cost is about half of what you'd spend on Copics (even less when they are on sale) and they are the only markers I've found which have extra fine tips available, so wonderful for coloring in those tiny areas or doing fine lines of shading in hair. After a year of experimenting and trying all the brands, I'm hooked. I haven't given up my pencils or chalks, but I do find myself grabbing the ProMarkers more often than anything else.

    1. NanaConnie,
Well, I've taken your advise and ordered some ProMarkers. Not many but enough to kind of play with initially. Thanks so much for taking the time to give me the tip about them.
I'm really excited to get started.....been watching some videos today to get the general idea.
      hugs--
      Roberta
