Friends with chocolate....

I saw that a couple of my favorite challenge blogs have calls out for Design Team members.  Bitten by the Bug 2 has a call for a long term member.  Mo Manning's challenge site, Bronte and Bella's Challenge Blog has a call for a 3 month long guest spot.  Being on either of these teams would be a huge honor given the beautiful and creative projects I've always seen from their current DT's.
So today, I thought I would do a project that could be submitted for consideration at both places.

Mo Manning's "Chocolate Smile" is an image I've been really wanting to use.  How cute can one image possibly be?  I mean, look at that face!

The main sentiment is from Inkadinkado's Friendly Advice: Kid Quotes stamp set.  For this project I didn't use the name of the child being quoted.  In order to give full credit, her name is Sophie Diehl and she was 11 when she said this.  I like the way Sophie thinks!  The "Happy Halloween" sentiment is from a cheapie stamp that I can't remember where I got it.  Both were stamped using Colorbox olive ink.  I smudged the main sentiment a little as I was punching it out but I liked the result so I did the same with the other.

The base of the card is from Cricut's Create a Critter.  The pumpkin was cut a 5 1/2".  I cut 3 and put them together as an easel card.
(Yes, I know there are other kinds of cards...I just love those easels.)  The frame little cutey-patooty is sitting on is from Elegant Edges and was cut at 4 1/4".  I used Art Nouveau for the leaves.  They're from the base cut of the sunflower.  After cutting it at 5", I just snipped the leaves off of the stems.  I decided to use those because I thought they most resembled pumpkin leaves.  I used a stylus to give veins to the leaves and the stem of the pumpkin.  The stem was hand-cut.

The flowers, beads, and seam binding were all from my stash.  The image was colored using my ProMarkers.  The DSP is from Recollections' Habitat stack.  Love that stack!  I used Tim Holtz distress inks in Walnut Stain, Vintage Photo, and Spiced Marmalade in various places around the card.

I have to say that I'm quite pleased with today's card.  I'm not sure who will be receiving this one for Halloween but I have a feeling whoever it is will love it.

In addition to the Bitten by the Bug 2 -- Design team call, you can find this card at the following challenges:
