I think I can, I think I can. Just one more challenge for the weekend and I think I can get it done tonight.
But, first, here's Challenge #8 which was hosted by Thia. She thought she would bee clever enough to stump us on this one. I've seen several cards already buzz right on past mine to the finish line. So Thia, honey, looks like your challenge was just right for our group of card-making drones. As for myself, the Queen Bee, I would like to personally thank you for a challenge that didn't come close to making me break out in hives. Enough puns? Sorry....one more. Making this card didn't sting even a little bit. Okay, promise that's the last one. Thia obviously wanted a bee themed card, hence all the corny jokes I just forced upon you.
If the name of my blog hadn't given you a clue, I love bees. I'm sorry to all who suffer allergies....it must be horrible. But I, luckily, don't. The little creatures fascinate me. They shouldn't be able to fly with such delicate wings and the amount of work they do pollinating all of those plants is miraculous. So when I was deciding on a name for my Etsy shop (and later this blog) Queen Bee Paper Crafts just seemed like a natural fit. Of course, the fact that I have lived in a house full of men for the past 28+ years definitely qualifies me for Queen Bee status....at least in my mind.
Enough of the jabbering, here's my card:
It along with all of the other Challenge #8 cards can be found here.
Roberta!!! OMGoshLOL!!! As soon as I saw the title of your blog, I knew I'd BEE in trouble! I LOVE your adorable bee card, just as much as I loved all of your bee puns! And yes, you definitely qualify as a QUEEN BEE! I cant imagine having to live in a house full of boys! Thanks for playing along in my challenge and for the great laugh! You now have a new blog follower! -Thia

Thank you so much for your help on this. I sooo needed this instead of my loooonnnng links lol. You're a gem x
Lisa, The siggy looks fantastic! I'm so happy my little "tutorial" made sense.
DeleteThe bee was done on my Cricut. The sentiment is a Papertrey Ink stamp that I curved on the stamp block. Then I just cut the paper to match the curve after I stamped it. I think it's a fun effect.
hugs--
