Celebrate with A Little Bit Crafty

This is just a quick reminder that you still have a couple more weeks to join in the fun of the current challenge at
The theme all this month is
Celebrate!

You can be celebrating anything...
a new baby, a new job, a new house, a retirement, etc.

I chose to celebrate a birthday with my Guest Designer card.
Can't you just hear that sweet little girl giggling as she dances with all of those balloons?
The image is called, appropriately enough, "Abby Celebrating" and is from the incredibly talented Mo Manning.

The gathered ribbon is actually seam binding.  To get the gather, just start at one of the cut ends and gently pull a couple of the strings in the center.  Slowly work your way down adjusting the gathers as you go.  I love being able to take something and turn into something else with no more than a little bit of work needed...no other supplies or expense.

The buttons were from the dollar bind at Michaels.
That awesome sentiment is from Papertrey Ink's
Stylish Sentiments Birthday stamp set.
All other items used for this card are listed at the bottom of this post.

You can find this card in the following challenges:

I would like to once again thank Paula for the chance to play along as Guest Designer this month at
A Little Bit Crafty.
The Design Team over there is immensely talented and I was honored to be included this time 'round.

A Little Bit Crafty Guest Designer

I am thrilled to be serving as Guest Designer for
this month.  Not only is Paula a tremendously talented lady but she is also lovely to be working with!  And that Design Team she's assembled....Wow!  Talk about talented.  Make sure you take a minute to go look at all of the great inspiration pieces they've put together for you.

The theme for this month long challenge is:
Celebration.
Fun right?  This can include any kind of celebration from a new baby to a birthday or a promotion.  Let you imagination go crazy!

Sponsoring is

When I saw the Vintage Rose Bouquet image, the old florist in me knew instantly that it was the one for me!  What better celebration is there than a wedding?  I love 'em!!

As I was finishing coloring the beautiful image, one of my pink ProMarkers decided to show just how very juicy a brand new marker can be.  See the blotch on the right side of the large rose?  I didn't mean for that to happen.  Argh.  This is a great example of what paper piecing can save.  I just colored another rose, fussy cut it, and layered it over the oops.

I think I recovered pretty well from the potential disaster.

The incredible silver paper that is embossed is the Mirror Reflective Cardstock from Paper Temptress.  I adore that stuff!!  The embossing folder I used is Tim Holtz's Regal Flourishes.

I would like to thank Lexie at Scribble and Scrap
for allowing me to play with that gorgeous image.
And thanks goes out to Paula at
for the honor of serving as her Guest Designer.
I hope you'll check back on the 15th to see my second Celebration challenge inspiration piece.
In the meantime, make sure you get your new project entered in the challenge.

Thanks for visiting today.
Happy New Year!!
