Come and Get It with Bugaboo Stamps

Hello everyone on yet another snowy day from central Indiana.
We've officially set the record for the snowiest winter since such records were kept...since 1884!!
To date, we've had 51.3" of snow.
Our average snowfall is 25.9" so we've really outdone ourselves!
I'm ready for it to end.
REALLY READY!!

On to funner topics.
Today begins a super new challenge at
This time we want to see your new creations for
A Humorous Birthday

Our sponsor this week couldn't be any better for this theme.
has some of the most hilarious stamps and sentiments I've seen!
And one lucky entrant will have the chance to grab 7 digis.
How much fun would that be!?!

This week I used one of the Gus images.
I just couldn't pass up a digi of an old man
in bunny slippers!

I'm sorry to say that this is going to be my last card that I share over at Come and Get It Challenges for a couple of months or so.
As many of you know, I have a torn rotator cuff in my left shoulder.  It's becoming more difficult to craft at this point so it's time to take a rest and wait for my surgery.  My operation is scheduled for February 24th and I'll be in a sling for 6 weeks following that.  Who knows what kind of crafting I can do one-handed though?  I might just be able to come back sooner....I'm sure gonna' try!!

All of us on the CAGI Design Team look forward to seeing your new creations.  Good luck to all who enter!!

Come and Get It with Lacy Sunshine and Limited Runs

I would like to invite you to a brand new challenge at

Our theme this time 'round is:
Make it Girly

We have 2 fabulous sponsors this week!

The first of our sponsors is:
Without a doubt one of my absolute favorite digi artists is
Heather Valentin!
She has been adding so many new images to her shop recently that my head has been spinning just a bit.
I feel like a greedy child...I am constantly thinking,
"Gimme, gimme, gimme!"

Our second awesome sponsor is:
You will not believe the incredible variety of images you can find at Limited Runs!  Everything you will need from birds and bugs to fairies and mermaids.  And don't forget to stop over there every Friday....they are so generous and offer a Friday Freebie each week.  Pretty darned cool, right?

I received "Rory, Delivery of Love"
from Lacy Sunshine
to use for my card this week.
How adorable is she?

Now for the copy and paste part of this post:
For the next several weeks, my posts are going to be just the basic invite to new challenges along with photos of my projects.  I found out that my left rotator cuff is torn and will require surgery to repair it.  I'm able to continue crafting for the time being but typing is really uncomfortable because of the angle that my arm is in to do so.
~~I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I love crafting and don't love typing so much.~~

If you have any questions about the techniques or supplies that I've used on any cards, please leave me a comment.  Or you can email me.  The email information is in the left hand column just below my profile.

Please forgive me for not commenting on your blogs; but know that I am stopping by to take looks at all of the incredible creations my lovely friends are sharing.

You can find this card in the following challenges:

Please head on over to
so you can check out the other Design Team members' creations.
We would love to have you join in the fun of our
Girly Challenge this week.
Good luck to all who enter!!

Come and Get It #5

You are cordially invited to our new challenge at

This fortnightly challenge is for your new
Clean and Simple
projects.

For the time being my posts are going to have to be pretty sparse.
My left arm is in a sling and typing is not only slow going but still quite painful.  I hope to have some answers to the cause of the problem this week.  Please forgive me for not commenting on your blogs; but know that I am stopping by to take looks at all of the incredible creations my lovely friends are sharing.

If you have any questions about the techniques or supplies that I've used on any cards, please leave me a comment.  Or you can email me.  The email information is in the left hand column just below my profile.

The stamps I used are from Papertrey Ink.
This gorgeous set is called "Harvest Berries."

All of the CAGI Design Team is excited to see your new CAS project.
Good luck to all who enter!

Come and Get It with A Day for Daisies

Welcome to a new challenge at
Please note that we now have a new address for the challenge blog due to some technical difficulties with our previous one.  You can find us at:  cagichallenge.blogspot.ca.

This week we have a really fun theme:
Let's Go Shopping.

Our fantastic sponsor is
A Day for Daisies

I selected "Fashion Shopping" for my card this week.

Since this image has such a mod feel to it, I really wanted to accentuate that.  I did that by only coloring her clothing and accessories.  A little bouquet was added to one of her shopping bags with a bit of paper piecing and some dimensional tape.  The white flowers and green tissue paper were both from my stash.

My color scheme was inspired by the rosette.  It was made with paper from the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas stack.  The circles were cut using Spellbinders Lacey Circles dies.  I hot glued the rosette onto the card base.  A double layer of dimensional tape was added around the perimeter of the card to hold the gray and olive green mats up over the level of the rosette.  I wish I could remember where I had seen this idea so I could give the proper credit.  To whomever shared this technique:  Thank you...I love it!!

The rhinestone sticker in the middle of the rosette is from Freckled Fawn.  The awesome beaded trim is from Joann.  I've been hoarding had that trim for quite some time just waiting for the right project.  This was definitely the one I'd been waiting for!

I wrapped a narrow satin ribbon around the dimensional tape
to hide it.

I absolutely adore the way this card looks!
I'll most definitely be using this technique on more cards.
Wouldn't it look great on Christmas cards?

You can find this card in the following challenges:

All of the Design Team has fantastic inspiration pieces for you over at Come and Get It.  I hope you have a chance to go take a look.  And I would love to see your new "Let's Go Shopping" project in the challenge.

Come and Get It Challenge #3

is beginning a new challenge today with the theme of
Food, Glorious Food.

Sponsoring this week is one of my favorite digi companies:

Bugaboo was generous enough to allow all of the Design Team to select our own image to work with for this challenge.  I'm crazy about the JJ line of images so I decided to find one of her hilarious options.  The decision was an easy one when I saw this image/sentiment combo.

Isn't she fun?  I just love JJ!

My paper choices were inspired by that great scarf JJ's wearing.
I colored her scarf to coordinate with the small polka dots.
What kind of new Food, Glorious Food project will you be adding to our challenge at Come and Get It this week?
All of us on the Design Team look forward to seeing your creations!
