Punchin' it up at Sentimental Sundays

For my second post today,
I'm happy to invite you to our new challenge at
Our theme this week is
"Pack a Punch"
So we want to see your new creations using either a punch or a diecut.

Our fantastic sponsor this week is

My card is for my youngest son, Joe.  Betcha' never would have guessed his name on your own, right?  He is celebrating his 19th birthday TODAY!  Holy cow.  How did that happen?  It's all gone by so quickly!

I used a 1" square punch from Fiskars to punch out areas to place stickers.  The fun image is one that I put together using Doodle Pantry's Birthday Accessories.  I used a new method to color the images.  Using my ProMarker Blender pen, I colored with chalk.  I need to work with this technique more (obviously) but it was really fun!  I look forward to giving it another go sometime.

Because of my shoulder injury, this is going to be my final card over at Sentimental Sundays for a couple of months or so.  I can't wait to get back to work with all of the Design Team over there.  In just the short amount of time I've been a member of the team, they've become some really fun friends.  Very supportive, friendly, funny and tremendously talented.  I'm lucky to be a part of it all!

Please take a minute and head on over to
The inspiration pieces shared are sure to get your creative Mojo goin'!  We look forward to seeing all of the great new entries.

Through the Craft Room Door & Doodle Pantry

Today begins a new Anything Goes challenge at

Sponsoring this week is
Doodle Pantry

I was so happy to use the adorable Li'l Tin from Doodle Pantry for my card this week.  Not only is he way too cute but he makes me think of my Mom who's a huge "Wizard of Oz" fan.

I got this embossing folder for Christmas and knew it was perfect for this image.  Since it's an A2 sized folder and I wanted to do a 6x6 card, I needed to camouflage where I joined the 2 sheets of embossed Reflective Mirror Cardstock.  That's where that the red ribbon came into action.  It was just placed over the seam.  Presto...now I have one large embossed mat.  The ribbon is from my stash as are the buttons.

In the picture above, you can see the gorgeous shimmer the Rosso Incandescent and Mirror Reflective cardstocks provide.  You can find both of those amazing papers at Paper Temptress.

Glossy Accents added a nice bit of shine and dimension to the heart in the sentiment that's included with the image.  There are actually 4 sentiments, colored and line drawings of Li'l Tin, and digi papers that you will receive with your purchase.  It's a super value!!

You can find this card in the following challenges:
Crafting from the Heart -- Anything goes w/ buttons or pearls
