TTCRD -- Team B

I hope everyone has survived Black Friday and Cyber Monday!
Things just start rolling past so quickly this time of year.  Don't they?
Let's all try to take a deep breath every now and then to remember what is truly important.  Things that could never be purchased at any sale.

Working on my card for the new challenge at
reminded me of that!
As always, our challenge is Anything Goes.
This week it is Team B who will be providing some inspiration pieces.
Here is my card:

Because the image and sentiment felt so powerful
to me, I didn't add any embellishments.
They just seemed unnecessary.

This incredible image is called The King.
You can find this along with Krista's
other artwork at Saturated Canary.
I paired it with a sentiment from Inkadinkado's
O Holy Night stamp set.

All layers were distressed.
The upper right corner of the wood grain
pattern paper was curled around
a bamboo skewer to add just a tiny bit
of dimension to my card.

Items used to make this card were:
Cardstock:  Bazzill Basics
Coloring Medium:  ProMarkers

Thank you so much for taking time to check out my card today.
I hope you have a chance to join us at
All of us on the Design Team love looking at your new creations!

Just Inspirational Challenges -- Team B

Thank you to everyone who was able to join Team B at
for our Kraft paper challenge a couple of weeks ago.
There were so many fantastic entries!

Today begins a brand new fortnightly challenge for Team B
with the theme of
Stitching: Real or Faux.

I decided to use faux stitching since my machine
is acting up and I've not taken the time to
figure out what the heck is wrong with it.

Our fantastic sponsor this week is
If you're looking for some really playful images,
you need to go check them out!

I received the adorable image "Gnome Sweet Gnome"
to use for this challenge.  Just looking at it makes me
smile and hear silly little gnomes laughing and singing.

I've been playing with rosettes
for a tutorial I have planned so be
sure to check back for that.

The ruffle you see on the left side of the image layer is seam binding.
I gathered it by gently pulling on a couple of threads along one side.
If you want a double ruffle, just pull on threads in the center.

Ingredients used to make this card were:
Coloring medium:  ProMarkers
Cardstock:  Papertrey Ink
DSP:  Basic Grey "Hey Boy"
Stamps:  Michaels Dollar Bin
Seam Binding:  Glitter and Kitsch Etsy shop
Rustic twine:  Papertrey Ink
Brads:  Recollections
Button:  my stash

You can find this card in the following challenges:

Cuttin and Stampin -- Anything goes with a twist of family
Party Time Tuesday -- Use twine or hemp
Paper Makeup Stamps -- Stitching
Ooh La La Challenges -- Stitching

This is such a great theme for our new challenge at
Since there are so many of you that regularly add beautiful stitching
to your cards, I expect this should be a busy one too.
Good luck to all who can join us!

Thanks for spending some time with me today!

TTCRD Challenge Nov 5 through 11

Today begins not only a brand new Anything Goes challenge at
it's also the very first time I will able to join in as a member of the Design Team!

Our sponsor this week is

I decided to use my ProMarkers to try coloring in sepia tone.
This fantastic image felt like it would be the perfect one to try out this technique.

As you can see in this photo, this is a twisting easel card.
I love doing those or regular easel cards!

Ingredients of this card are:
Cardstock:  Bazzill, Papertrey Ink
Punches:  Martha Stewart button, Recollections tag
Ribbon and embroidery floss:  My stash

Here's one last look at the card:

I really had a lot of fun coloring in sepia tone.  What new technique have tried recently?  Which ones are on your "to do" list?  My list seems to grow by the day!  But what a great time I'm having checking them off one by one.

All of the Design Team at
looks forward to seeing more incredible new projects this week.
Good luck to all who enter!!
