Sentimental Sundays and Bugaboo Stamps

Since it's Sunday, it's time for a new challenge at

Our theme this week is:
Birthday for a Special Woman -- Using Pastels

I'm thrilled to tell you that our sponsor is
This is without a doubt one of my favorite digi companies.
You can find funny, sweet, and sassy images and sentiments there.
If you've not checked them out, you really should!!

The lovely folks at Bugaboo allowed all of us on the Sentimental Sundays Design Team to select our own images.  I couldn't pass up the hilarious "Stella, One More Candle - Frame It."

For the time being my posts are going to have to be pretty sparse.
My left arm is in a sling and typing is not only slow going but still quite painful.  I hope to have some answers to the cause of the problem this week.  Please forgive me for not commenting on your blogs; but know that I am stopping by to take looks at all of the incredible creations my lovely friends are sharing.

If you have any questions about the techniques or supplies that I've used on any cards, please leave me a comment.  Or you can email me.  The email information is in the left hand column just below my profile.

I carried the color scheme to the inside of the card using stamps from PaperTrey Ink.

We would love to see your new pastel birthday cards for a special lady in our challenge this week.
Good luck to all who enter!!

Created with Love Challenge #72

Come on over to
and join in the fun of our first challenge of 2014.
This week we want to see you new creations using
Pink and/or Purple

Our sponsor this week is

It was so nice working with these colors this week!
Here in central Indiana is has been so shockingly cold with so much snow, I needed some brightness to cheer me up.

In this picture you get a good look at the great shimmer from my
background mat.  It is one of the super Hambly Studio Screenprints
from Paper Temptress.  This one is "Chic Circles."

I love the look of pinks and browns together.  It probably goes back to the days of my first job.  All through high school, I worked at a Baskin Robbins ice cream parlor in Nashville, Indiana.  I loved that job!

The mulberry paper rose was purchased on Ebay.
Surrounding the image, I used a flourish stamp from Little Yellow Bicycle to very subtly add a little more pink.
The sentiment stamp is from my stash.  I don't recall the maker.
All other items used to make this card are listed at the bottom of the post.

You can find this card in the following challenges:
Suzy Bee's -- Cute and sweet
Crafty Catz -- Pretty in pink

All of the Design Team has some really great inspiration pieces ready for you over at Created with Love.  I hope you stop by to take a look.  Make sure to link up your own Pink/Purple project this week too!
